Fair Trade Thai Handmade Paper book with twig pencil Ref: thaibook
Our Fair Trade Thai handmade paper books are just in from Thailand. The paper is Sa or Mulberry Paper and it's got a lovely texture and the pencil is made from a real twig. Our books measure 4 inches square and contain approx 25 sheets. The dried flower designs are done by hand and each one is slightly different as is the colour on the left.

These gorgeous embroidered notebook are unique. The covers are made from hand embroidered material, the pangi shells are a traditional sign of good luck. Inside the notebooks contain handmade flower paper ( there are flower petals in the paper). Fair Trade Handmade Paper Hindu God Book Ref: godbook
Our new Hindu God Books are proving to be a big hit with our customers. Each book is handmade and has a picture of a hindu god or gods on the front. Each bookcontains 48 pages ( ie 96 sides) and the paper is handmade with blades of grass in the paper to give a natural look. Each book meaures 10 cm by 15 cm and comes in choice of red, blue or yellow book, as each book is handmade pictures of the gods vary.

Our Handmade Paper Peacock Books are gorgeous. The 'peacock feather' is actually a leaf from the pipal tree, a sacred tree in India and Nepal, whose branches are reputedly home to 10,000 gods.

Each book contains 50 leaves of traditional handmade Lokta Paper. Lokta is a herb that grows wild in the Himalaya and has traditionally been used for making handmade paper. We have three sizes of our peacock books; small 8.5 cm by 11cm (3.5" by 4.5"), medium 11cm by 15 cm ( 4.5" by 6 " and large 15cm by 21cm ( 6" by 8 ")

Fair Trade Embroidered Photoalbum Ref: sembralbum
Our embroidered photoalbums are simply gorgeous. They are made by a family in Rajasthan in India. The covers are handembroidered and the shells are Kari Shells which are said to bring Good Luck ( so particularly suitable for weddings and christenings!). Our photoalbums are the traditional sort, so you will need self adhesive photo corners or you can spray mount your photos. There are thin leaves of non stick paper between each leaf of hand made paper to stop your photos from sticking together. 27 cm by 18 cm with 40 leaves. Each leaf will take one 5" by 7" photo or two 6 " by 4" photos on either side.

There are flowers pressed into the paper leaves. Each photoalbum is handmade and each is slightly different. They come in the follwing basic colours; blue, red, green, orange & purple.

Our handmade paper photo albums are simply beautiful and as each one is handmade each one is slightly different. The flowers all grow wild in the Himalayas. Each photo album consists of 20 sheets of thick handmade paper for sticking your photos ( photo corners required) and each thick sheet is seperated by a thin sheet of handmade tissue paper to keep your photos in top condition. They are made by a Nepalese charity set up by Oxfam. It helps destitute and disadvantaged women in Nepal.

The large photo albums are 27 cm wide x 34 cm tall whilst the medium photo albums are 19 cm wide x 26.5 cm tall.

All our Handmade paper is made by a Women's co-operative in Kathmandu. Our A4 cut paper sheets are very popular, they are designed so that they can be used in a computer printer and our customers use them for a wide variety of things from writing paper to handmade card making. Fair Trade Natural Dyed Handmade Paper Ref: Natpaper
Our range of naturally dyed paper is handcrafted in the traditional manner using vegetable and mineral dyes. The paper is then dried in the sun. These dyes give wonderfully soft colours and the two sides of the paper have slightly different shades due to the way that the dyes dry. Our naturally dyed paper comes in packs of ten A4 cut sheets and come in the following colours; earthy brown, pale blue, lilac & buttermilk
