Three Leaf Lampshade

Our new three leaf lampshades are really popular. They are handmade in the Kathmandu valley by a charity working with disadvantaged women in Nepal. They are made from handmade Paper, which is made from Lokta, a herb which grows at altitudes between 6,500 to 9,500 ft in the Himalaya. The bushes are harvested every two to three years, so that the plant survives to produce more Lokta.
The skeleton leaves come from the Boda Tree which is the tree that the Buddha is said to have meditated under and in whose branches the Nepalese believe live 10,000 gods.
Our lampshades come in blue with purple leaves or purple with pink leaves. The lampshades measure 400mm ( 15.75 in) tall by 205 mm ( 8 in) wide.

Our beautiful tie purses are made in the North of Thailand by the same people that make the fabulous elephant bag ( above). They are hand sequined with elephants, as they are all handmade the colours do vary slightly. They are lovely little purses, ideal for when you are going away and a great for children.
They measure 10 cm by 10 cm ( 4 inches by 4 inches) and have a 105 cm ( 42 inch) long strap to go round your neck.

Fair Trade Hand Carved and hand painted turtles

Our handcarved turtles are the perfect image of Bali, they inhabit the warm tropical seas around this beautiful island. To swim through the deep blue seas following one of these graceful cretures is something that you'd never forget.
Our turtles are hand carved from a sustainable softwood and you can lift up the shell to reveal a little hidey hole. They can also be used as ashtrays.
We have two sizes of turtle, our little turtles are 20cm long by 16 cm wide by 12 cm tall. Our big turtles are 30 cm long by 22 cm wide by 14 cm tall. They are dot painted in an aborginal style and come in purple or brown colours.
