Our Handcarved Sitting Giraffe are hand carved by a family of wood carvers in Bali. They are made from a sustainable local softwood known in Bali as 'monkey wood'! The carving is then stained and waxed and come in a family sized herd of three ( same design but three sizes).
The giraffes are 30cm, 40 cm & 50 cm high.

Our handcarved turtles are the perfect image of Bali, they inhabit the warm tropical seas around this beautiful island. To swim through the deep blue seas following one of these graceful cretures is something that you'd never forget.
Our turtles are hand carved from a sustainable softwood and you can lift up the shell to reveal a little hidey hole. They can also be used as ashtrays.
We have two sizes of turtle, our little turtles are 20cm long by 16 cm wide by 12 cm tall. Our big turtles are 30 cm long by 22 cm wide by 14 cm tall. They are dot painted in an aborginal style and come in purple or brown colours.

Fair Trade Carved Wooden Giraffe

Our giraffes are made for us by a family living in central Bali. The giraffe is first carved from a sustainably grown local soft wood known on the island as monkey wood. It is then baked in the oven to harden and then the design is burnt on. As each giraffe is hand made each one is unique. The Baby Giraffe stand around 80 cm ( 2ft 8 in) high, the Mummy one 1m ( 3ft,4") the Daddy one 1.2m ( 4ft) and the Granddaddy one is 1.5m ( 5ft) . They all have a wooden base to make them stable.
