Our Stone Buddha Heads are handcarved from Limestone by our master carvers in Bali. Carving Buddhas is an act of devotion and it is only the most experienced craftsmen who carve them as they are so difficult. Our Buddha Heads are 6 inches ( 15 cm) high, 4 inches ( 10cm) deep and 4 inches( 10cm) wide and weigh abou 900g.

Any imperfections or discolouration in the stone are natural charecteristics of limestones and should not be seen as a flaw.

Fair Trade Hand Painted Nepalese Buddha Heads Ref: Nepalbuddh

Nepal, high in the Himalya is an interesting mix of Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism. The religions intertwine and many temples have both Hindu and Buddhist Shrines. Nepalese Buddhas are easily recognisable by the swirl on the forehead that is the Nepalese No 1, which stands for the Buddha being all encompassing.

Our Handpainted Nepalese Buddha Heads are handmade in Kathmandu. The buddha head is first cast from clay and then hand finished, they measure approx 22 cm high.

He is 35 cm ( 14 inches) high , 15 cm ( 6 inches) wide and 15 cm ( 6 inches) deep and weighs around 5 kg
